The hardest part about cleaning and changing our filters is; clearing out all the negative and judgmental thoughts that hold us back. It filters down through our parents. As children and adults, I think we suppress things. We carried it through childhood and adult life until we decided to change the way we think. When we do that, we begin to be happy.
You start accepting the good with the bad. The colors you see are no longer black and white, you see vibrant colors in all things. That’s when you discover how to process the gray area in your lives.
Once you do that, you can deal with the difficult experiences you encounter in your life. The filtering process is re-learning what we have forgotten. Over a period of time, your way of thinking will filter through the brewing, removing the negative and turning it into the positive. This filtering process will not be an easy one. We are talking about years of changing filters which have to be replaced. Changing filters will be a constant changing of your life.
My question are: Are you willing to do the work? And are you ready for the change?
I leave you with this thought… Cleaning the filters might happen through prayer or meditation (that’s how it worked for me), or maybe not, that’s why it is important to find what does work for you, because every person and every situation is different.
